Welcome to the united church!

Dear United Church Members & Friends,

Happy New Year to all of you!

After meeting with the Executive Council this evening, I've been asked to inform you that the decision was made, for the time being, to continue to hold in-person worship services on Sunday.  We want to be able to continue to provide in-person worship safely but with the Omicron variant spreading throughout New Mexico, we are making several changes.  We will have a few hymn leaders each Sunday without the full choir.  We will not pass the offering plate and will have it at the entrance of the Sanctuary.  There will not be any drinks or food during Coffee Fellowship.  Please avoid any physical contact with each other when greeting.  Masks must be worn indoors at all times.  Please do everything you can to try and sit apart from others in the pews.

The leaders strongly encourage people to join us for worship ONLINE (You can use the link below) if...

You think you might have been exposed to covid, are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, or feel uncomfortable being indoors with a group at this time. There remains a level of risk when gathering together indoors, even with vaccinations and masks.

All Sunday School classes that were to begin this Sunday are postponed until next Sunday, January 16.  This will allow the CE Board to determine how best to hold classes in the weeks ahead.

All boards and committees will meet by Zoom (except the Trustees this Saturday in Craig Hall).

The office will remain open Monday-Friday 8:30am-2:30pm (for the time being).  MASKS are required indoors at all times.

Please know that the Executive Council will assess this on Sunday afternoon and keep a close eye on the COVID-19 numbers in our community.

We feel these extra steps will continue to keep us safe if everyone follows the guidelines closely.

Thank you for your participation and support.

Grace and peace,

David
