For the Love of Retreat
The purpose of a
retreat is to unwind, refocus, and let go of all the stress.
A retreat allows us to pull back, get inspired, become spacious, detox, and find our people.
Join us for a virtual retreat as we explore the following themes:
1) For the Love of Retreat: Why are retreats important?
2) For the Love of Sonlight: Why and what we love about getting away to camp
3) For the Love of Sanity: How can we find ways to retreat in our everyday lives?
4) For the Love of Connection: to one another, to ourselves, and to

Dear United Church
Over the past several weeks, the Executive Council, Trustees and Personnel Boards, Thrift Shop leaders, and staff have had extensive conversation about the safe and careful start-up of a few official activities at The United Church. This has NOT included discussion about in-person worship services which will remain virtual. This has included the availability of outside meetings in two designated places, transitional staffing of the office, and the Thrift Shop reopening.
Meetings: Outside Only
While we encourage boards and committees to conduct business via Zoom or other teleconference options, a group of 10 or fewer may meet at the picnic tables near the volleyball court OR on the church lawn of the Sanctuary (where we have held the outdoor service). Each person must remain 6-feet apart from each other and wear a mask. If you're eating, it's okay to remove your mask but please keep your distance from other people. All meetings are to be scheduled by calling the Church Office and leaving a message that is checked daily, OR by emailing email@example.com. Tjett Gerdom will manage the meeting calendar, inform you about the availability of chairs for the church lawn, and answer any questions about the guidelines. Again, social distancing and masks are required.
Church Office: Limited Hours
Beginning the first week of August, the Church Office will be open from 9am - Noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We ask that you call the church office (662-2971, posted on the door) before entering the building. Masks must be worn at all times. Some staff members will be working in their offices a few more days and hours throughout the week, along with working at home. Again, calling the posted number before entering and wearing a mask are required.
Thank you for your attention to the necessary guidelines for outdoor meetings or entering the CE Building and Church Office. Your support is greatly appreciated during this on-going public health crisis! We will continue to discuss other ways in which we can be more connected as a church congregation. We pray that you and your family are well!
Grace and peace,
